WHY would anyone want to demolish an historic building like The Raven Inn in Glazebury, only to be replaced with 10 houses (Warrington Guardian, January 24)?
Sadly it has not got listed status.
This cannot happen, The Raven Inn must be saved.
Who comes up with theses crazy ideas?
People who have no concept of local history it seems.
Also another local inn, ‘The Chat Moss’ has had its name changed to ‘The Glazebury’.
Why?
The stripping of our local history must stop.
‘The Chat Moss’ has an amazing history too, linked to Stephenson’s Rocket.
