LAST week l happened to be passing Warrington Museum and l decided to pop in and look at the current exhibition.

The upper floor has a collection of work by Stanley Lench and it was a real sight to see.

His work is vibrant, colourful and accessible and the back story of his personal struggle with mental wellbeing is touching and poignant.

To think that his work was exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York alongside Picasso and Pollock is amazing.

It may be a small museum but it does pack a punch if you are looking for something interesting and inspiring to do.

Well worth a visit and it’s free.
