I RECENTLY took my father-in-law to Warrington Hospital for minor surgery.
I dropped him off in the morning and picked him up in late afternoon.
You can imagine my surprise when I received a penalty charge notice from Highview Parking for parking for more than eight hours.
I can prove beyond doubt that I paid two visits to the car park that day – both within the given time allowed – and will challenge them in court.
However, the worrying thing here is that the cameras failed to register my arrive and leave visits.
In the penalty notification it also states that mistakes can happen.
This, in my opinion, is a get out clause for operating defective or not fit-for-purpose equipment.
Anyone visiting Warrington Hospital car park beware.
