REGARDING the article about the disabled lady who experienced problems with the so-called health assessors which resulted in her losing PIP.

I experienced something similar, although I now have PIP and ESA, it is not my first time applying.

On my first application I was refused because I had a shopping bag on my walking frame.

These things also happen to people who are disabled and the sick applying for ESA.

If you get ESA you have to be re-assessed every two years, this happened to be my fate in February.

My first re-assessment was to be in Liverpool in last November, I explained that I was unable to travel to Liverpool as it was too difficult for me, a few days later I received a letter saying that I did not need to go for an assessment.

So you can imagine my surprise when on February 15 I was commanded to attend offices in Winwick Quay.

I phoned and explained about the previous letter but they said they had not sent it and I needed proof of it. Unfortunately I had not kept it.

I asked for a home visit but was told I needed proof from my doctor that I fitted the criteria to enable this.

I am in chronic pain and find it hard to travel but I still have to go to Winwick Quay for the assessment.

They like to bully, they like to humiliate, they do not consider us to be  human beings.
