A BIG thank you to Mr K Shepherd.
I read your letter (Warrington Guardian, January 4) about Parking Eye.
I was fined twice by them before Christmas.
I had fallen, leaving me with an injured kneecap and bruised hip.
I needed to shop at Asda but because of my injuries needed to park as close as possible to the shop.
I found a small car park and asked a young lady if I was ok to park there, she said no.
I was only there eight or nine minutes before finding a disabled parking space on Asda car park.
I looked for the men in yellow jackets but they were nowhere to be seen.
I was late back, again I looked for the wardens in yellow jackets to explain why I was late and again there was no sign of them so I went home as I was in pain.
Two days later I got the first fine of £60 which I paid by Postal Order costing £63 in total.
Then two days after the first letter I got another fine of £60 for being late back on the Asda car park.
I could have cried, I felt I could jump in the water and drown and no one would care.
I paid the fines.
I did write five letters to Parking Eye but they were bullying me to pay or it would go up to £100. It was Christmas, and it was all it would take to push me over the edge.
I am 78, on my own, I could not eat or sleep with the worry.
