I WOULD like to make you aware of a Warringtonian, Tony Gandy, who does more for charity in this town than anybody I know.
His work for The Lions is legendary.
Every year he is out on the sleigh in any weather bringing happiness to the children of the town and, more importantly, money for the various charities.
This is only one of a number of charities he is involved with – one of which is of particular significance to my family.
It is time now that the powers that be in this town made him a freeman of Warrington.
It is not before time and it would be most appropriate and fitting justification for all that he does.
