I AGREE with the letter written by Michael Carter with regards to the safety at The Halliwell Jones Stadium (Warrington Guardian, May 25).
I wrote to the northern area roads policing about the same thing.
I asked could the cars leaving the car park next to the Brian Bevan statue turn left, where traffic lights control the roads, instead of weaving through the crowds that leave The Halliwell Stadium from the east stand area, from where most of the crowd leave.
I received a letter telling me that this could not happen because it was a bus lane and turning left could not be permitted.
