WHEN is a town a city?
When it has such deep pride.
So do not dare to knock it Until you have walked inside.
For it has both culture And a great history There may be some that’s prettier But none finer could there be.
Mentioned in the Doomsday book An industrial giant so well known And though the years have passed How this town has grown, In the nineteenth and twentieth century So many things it did make.
Now as we’ve turned the corner Its history it won’t forsake Now it is revitalised And we’re getting ready all to show Why it so wonderful This town that we do know So let’s all stand together As we always did before For Warrington that we love And will for evermore.
