I REFER to your article regarding bringing forward of roadworks in West and East Avenue, Lathom Avenue and Shaws Avenue early next year. I have visited the sites, I agree Shaws Avenue requires an urgent resurfacing.
However West and East Avenue are not deserving of a resurfacing, the surface is in a fair condition.
There are roads in the Grappenhall area that are in a more urgent repair than West and East Avenue.
Two are Shadeswood Crescent and Lindi Avenue.
During the past 28 years I have lived in Grappenhall Shadewood Cresecent has never been resurfaced and only had one surface dressing.
Once again another example of the big North /South divide by Warrington Borough Council and the hard working and council tax paying residents of the south paying for the north again.
