I AM writing to remind people that the church is always here for them if they need a funeral service.
I’ve met a lot of non-religious people who think that they are not entitled to a Christian funeral.
This is simply not true.
I’ve also met non-religious people who think that if they choose a Christian service they won’t be able to celebrate the person’s life.
It’s possible to celebrate the deceased person’s life in the Christian funeral service but the main point of the Christian funeral service is to proclaim the hope of the resurrection in Christ.
The hope is not of ‘going to heaven’ but of the final resurrection of the body at the end of time.
