I CAN’T believe the council is wasting £11.5 million on a hub in Bewsey and Dallam (Warrington Guardian, January 7).
This is a complete waste of ratepayers money.
This white elephant will be an albatross around the necks of long suffering ratepayers.
There is no need for this kind of waste and the money would be better spent on the pot holes and pavements that blight Bewsey and Dallam.
Also I can’t see what this hub is doing that can benefit local people?
Most people have cars and free bus passes and use these kind of places elsewhere if they need them.
This to me in a time of austerity is a disgrace and I hope that it gets stopped.
More Labour nanny state dogma.
I bet if the Tories ever got in they would stop this pie in the sky idea from the start and use the money to improve roads etc.
Not build this white elephant.
