I WOULD advise people visiting Warrington Hospital to keep their car parking tickets for at least one month.

My father was admitted so we visited and used the car park for which we paid £3 a time.

Last week I received a letter from Highview Parking to say I hadn’t paid to park on June 17 and I had to pay a fine of £75.

I kept the ticket in my handbag so was able to e-mail a copy to them.

My concern is, how many more people have been fined and are unable to prove it? For pensioners etc £75 is a lot of money to pay for an uncommitted offence.

I would urge anyone who has had a letter to appeal and ask them to check the machine is functioning.
