I walked into the Network Warrington Travel Shop to see leaflets on display bearing ‘Service changes January 26’.

What, more?

The company seems to change its services more than some company’s employees change their work shirts.

Oh well, better be served by a dynamic company that embraces change and has a professional customer care culture to reflect this. The alternative is ossification, as epitomised by the ‘on the buses’ mentality of another local company and its staff, who spend more time plotting against the managers than bothering to check such basics as destination boards and stick the proverbial two fingers up at prestigious government contracts.

What a relief most evening bus services continue.

Some areas such as Grappenhall, Thelwall and Lymm see a welcome return after a long gap. Buses will also serve Oakwood after a long no-go period in the evenings. In short, Network Warrington has grasped the nettle and has probably now established a sustainable evening network.

Although on a personal note I am not sure that every 60 minutes on the 21, the once premiere route of Warrington Corporation Transport is adequate, nor for that matter the other end at Westy.

The bus users of Warrington can sleep peacefully in their beds, the evening buses are continuing!
