PARKING Issues on East Avenue......

What a nightmare it has been for numerous years now. I and I know most of the residents on East Avenue are sick and tired of being the overflow car park for Stockton Heath shoppers and restaurant visitors.

The constant battle for parking spaces outside our homes is increasing and getting to levels of road rage instances, we residents having to fight back with our own traffic cones and wheelie bins outside your house to secure a parking spot.

At weekends it reaches its fever pitch as the constant drivel of party goers and drunks visit the neighbourhood.

People constantly blocking drives, turning and reversing on them, taxis up and down all night, then road partially blocked because of double parking can’t turn in from junction of London Road or get out most evenings, great to see traffic wardens in area but why don’t you come round Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

People even leaving their vehicles overnight to collect them next day!

When are we going to see any action taken not only on East Avenue but other streets suffering from the same abuse.

I suppose the council will ignore this notice as they have chose to ignore parking issues around Stockton Heath for years and years they don’t care.

Too busy gaining revenue from the housing market in the area.

Maybe we should turn the Sandy Lane tip into a multi-storey car park this would be a great idea a free one at that.

Or maybe what most residents want a parking permit even if it just for weekends.

Solutions on a postcard please!
