I AM writing to express my absolute disgust at the treatment of my friend who is an OAP.
Since moving to a new area within Warrington four years ago she has been subjected to horrendous racial and general abuse from her other OAP neighbours.
Both types of abuse happened in her own home and in public. These events have been documented by the police. After recently suffering a heart attack due to the stress she went to Golden Gates Housing Trust where she was told by staff that they could not help her as she was suitably housed and not a priority.
At no point was she given advice or information about medical priority forms or referred to the vulnerable tenant support scheme.
I feel like this should be the very minimum level of help anyone should receive in her position. All she wants is to be moved closer to her family and friends which would benefit her health significantly.
I am sure everyone who reads this would want what is best for their mother, grandmother, friend or relative while they are suffering ill health.
I just hope that Golden Gates Housing or someone else who can help could get in touch.
