WARRINGTON Wolves have revealed their 21-man squad for Sunday's Challenge Cup semi-final.

Head coach Sam Burgess will choose from largely the same group of players, with only one change made from the 21 he named for last week's Super League win over Hull KR.

That change sees centre Connor Wrench in contention to return from the ankle injury that has kept him out of the past three games, and he looks set to battle with Rodrick Tai for a spot on the right edge.

He replaces Adam Holroyd, with the second rower dropping out of the squad to face Huddersfield Giants at the Totally Wicked Stadium.

Wrench was among the try-scorers during Warrington's quarter-final win over St Helens on the same ground but was injured during the following week's Super League win over Leigh Leopards.

On Monday, Burgess revealed he was in contention to return to the side but that no risks would be taken with his fitness, with Papua New Guinea international Tai having performed well in starting the past two games.

“We’ll give him every chance. He’s certainly closer this week,” the Wire boss said.

“Rod is doing a good job so we’ve got a highly competent centre already there and Connor has got a few tests to get through.

“It’s one of those injuries that we won’t want to risk so if he’s not 100 per cent, we won’t play him.

“Although it’s a big game, it’s still a long year after it and we’ve got Rod there doing a brilliant job.”
