GEORGE Williams is a surprise inclusion in Warrington Wolves' 21-man squad to face Hull KR on Thursday.
The England captain was expected to miss at least another week with the ankle injury he suffered during the Round One defeat at Catalans Dragons, which has caused him to miss the wins over Hull FC and Castleford Tigers.
However, he is in contention to return for the trip to Craven Park and his potential return offsets the absence of half-back partner Josh Drinkwater, who has now been ruled out of the game with the thigh injury that forced him off against Castleford.
His inclusion is one of two changes head coach Sam Burgess has made to his 21, with Jordy Crowther returning as expected having missed the past two games through a combination of suspension and extended concussion protocols.
Youngster Arron Lindop is the other player to drop out, with Connor Wrench included as he battles to be fit after a groin injury.
