WARRINGTON Wolves Academy were defeated in the first game of their Australia tour.
Young Wire fell 32-22 against South Sydney Rabbitohs under 19s at Mascot Oval, close to Sydney Airport, in the early hours of this morning (UK time).
A great effort was produced by all the tourists involved in the action.
Former Wire stars Tyrone McCarthy, Bryson Goodwin and Jason Clark were among those watching.

Young Wire will face Wests Tigers next Saturday, while an opposed training session against youngsters from Canterbury Bulldogs is also pencilled in.
Wolves will wrap up their tour with a game against the New South Wales under 17s side on November 4.
They are staying in Penrith, where they have been granted access to the training facilities used by NRL Premiers Penrith Panthers as a base for the duration of their stay.
