WARRINGTON Wolves’ potential path to winning the Women’s Nines competition has now been confirmed.

Having missed out on automatic qualification from the pool stage despite an unbeaten campaign, Lee Westwood’s side were awarded a wildcard to take part in Finals Day at Salford’s AJ Bell Stadium on July 24.

The six qualifying teams have been split into two three-team groups, with The Wire placed in Group B alongside York City Knights and Catalans Dragons.

Group A contains St Helens, Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants, with the top two from each group advancing to the semi-finals.
