DARYL Powell says he may be forced into “a couple” of changes for Monday’s trip to Hull FC.

However, he says his Warrington Wolves side have emerged from their victory over Salford Red Devils largely unscathed.

There was concern for half-back Gareth Widdop, who looked to be hobbling at times in the second half but Powell allayed fears of an issue for him.

“He’s just got a calf injury from going into the hoardings in the first half, but I think he’ll be okay,” he said.

“We’ve got a couple of injury checks on boys who didn’t play today, but I don’t think we’ve picked up too much so that’s good news.”

When asked about potential for changes for Monday, he said: “It depends who I’ve got available.

“I may make a couple but I don’t think we’ve got a massive amount of scope.

“Matty Davis would be available – he had a little bit of an issue so there’s potential for him to come in.

“I’ll have a look at the game and go from there once everybody has been assessed.”

Powell also left the door open for George Williams to potential return for the clash with the Black and Whites.

Williams missed The Wire’s first win in over a month with an abdominal injury.

Powell said of the England man: “The initial signs were that we would have to look more towards Saturday, but we’ll see how the weekend goes.”
