TOBY King and Jack Hughes are both absent from the Warrington Wolves squad to face Wigan Warriors in Stefan Ratchford's Testimonial match.
King is understood to have suffered an injury in training although the severity of it is currently unclear.
Skipper Hughes was always likely to miss the game as he aims to recover from wrist surgery in time for the Super League opener against Leeds Rhinos on February 12.
Head coach Daryl Powell has named a strong 20-mansquad, with new signings Peter Mata'utia, Oliver Holmes and Joe Bullock set for their first run-outs as Wire players.
Fellow new addition Billy Magoulias is ruled out having undergone ankle surgery last week.
