GEORGE Williams has not been included in the Warrington Wolves squad for Wednesday's game against Wigan Warriors.

Last week, head coach Steve Price said the half-back would be considered to face his former club for what would be his Wire debut, but he will have to wait a little longer.

Josh Charnley is also absent while Gareth Widdop and Matty Ashton (ankle) remain on the treatment table.

However, The Wire have named only 20 players meaning they can add one more to their squad should they wish.

Wire squad: Sitaleki Akauola, Blake Austin, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark, Mike Cooper, Ben Currie, Matt Davis, Eribe Doro, Chris Hill, Jack Hughes, Toby King, Tom Lineham, Ellis Longstaff, Jake Mamo, Robbie Mulhern, Joe Philbin, Stefan Ratchford, Josh Thewlis, Danny Walker, Connor Wrench

Wigan are able to welcome England international John Bateman back into their squad after he recovered from an ankle injury picked up on international duty last month.

Liam Byrne is also back after a rib injury but the likes of Zak Hardaker, Bevan French and Jai Field are still missing.
