With half-back partner Blake Austin going off shortly beforehand, it presents head coach Steve Price with a headache ahead of Wednesday's trip to Wigan Warriors.
However, Price says it is too early to say whether or not either will be fit to play at the DW Stadium.
"Gareth will go for scans tomorrow. We're still not quite sure on it," Price said after the game.
"Austo's got a bit of a problem with his groin also.
"We've a couple of niggles but that's part of the game.
"It's far too early to tell for Wigan. We've still got plenty of time."
Prop Robbie Mulhern was an absentee from tonight's side, with Price confirming the former Hull KR man missed out through illness.
"He's been a bit crook all week and has lost a fair amount of weight," he said.
"I wanted to go with some fresher bodies tonight and see some other players."
