WARRINGTON Wolves produced a fine comeback to end Hull KR’s impressive winning streak on Friday evening.

A poor opening quarter saw The Wire fall 12-0 down to an initially rampant Rovers side, for whom Ethan Ryan and Kane Linnett touched down.

Josh McGuire – playing in the second row in place of the injured Matty Nicholson – scored his first Wire try to keep his side in the game at the break and set up a rousing second half.

Ben Currie scored to level matters and when Mikey Lewis and Stefan Ratchford swapped penalties, the game was finely poised going into the final quarter.

However, Daryl Powell’s men made their move and another Ratchford penalty gave them the lead for the first time before Matty Ashton’s try and a George Williams drop goal sealed a superb fightback win.
