ANOTHER week, another victory for Warrington Wolves’ seemingly unstoppable women’s side.

From pretty much the first minute of their clash with Leigh Miners Rangers at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, they were the dominant force and it showed on the scoreboard.

A 72-0 victory made it five wins out of five in Betfred Women’s Super League Group Two as they remain firmly on course for promotion to the top group.

Another clean sheet means they have just conceded just six points in league action this year, with 292 scored at an average of just over 58 per game.

In all, they plundered 14 tries as those arriving early to the mens’ clash with Salford Red Devils were thoroughly entertained, with Sammi Simpson and Georgia Sutherland both scoring hat-tricks.

One of the former’s efforts was a stunning long-range effort as she claimed a kick deep inside her own half, weaved through the chasers and showed an impressive turn of pace to finish between the posts.

Skipper Michelle Davis helped herself to two tries of her own, with eight conversions taking her to 24 points for the game.

Armani Sharrock and Dani Bound both crossed in the first half as they opened up a 34-0 lead, with second-half tries coming from Lauren Roberts, Emily Baggaley and Claire Mullaney.

Lee Westwood’s side are back in action at Victoria Park on Sunday as they play host to Castleford Tigers, kick off 12noon.

Wolves: Michelle Davis; Sammi Simpson, Emily Baggaley, Georgia Sutherland, Abigail Johnston; Charlize Magraw, Lucy Eastwood; Armani Sharrock, Dani Bound, Amy Johnson, Katie Williams, Kacy Haley, Georgia Westwood. Subs: Cat Davies, Lauren Roberts, Emily Downs, Claire Mullaney
