SEAN Williams has left Warrington Town, the club have confirmed.
The long-serving midfielder, who has made more than 200 appearances for the club across two spells, is moving on having opted against taking up the club’s offer of an extension to his deal.
Yellows confirmed Williams was set to move to a club in the Northern Premier League’s West Division, which is believed to be Bootle.
He was one of the three players the club confirmed they were still in negotiations about fresh terms with, with top scorer Isaac Buckley-Ricketts and defender Andre Wisdom being the others.
Having first joined Town in 2016, Williams spent 18 months with the club before moving on to Altrincham, but he returned in 2021 initially on loan before making the deal permanent.
Across the 203 appearances he made for the club, Williams scored 30 goals including Town’s first ever National League North goal in their opening-day victory at Southport.
