THINGS are continuing to come together at Gorsey Lane as Warrington Rylands prepare for the 2024-25 season.

Having confirmed Mark Duffy as their new manager last week, the club also announced his coaching staff, two new signings and a raft of player retentions over the weekend.

Defender Dylan Dwyer and striker Ntumba Massanka are the new faces and become the first new additions to the Blues squad.

Dwyer is a left-back who has just left the academy system at Wigan Athletic having also spent time in the Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town youth systems.

Massanka knows his way around the Northern Premier League having turned out for South Shields, Stalybridge Celtic, Stafford Rangers and Macclesfield in recent years having also had a spell in Cyprus playing for Digenis Akritas Morphou.

Rylands have also confirmed eight of the squad that got them to the Northern Premier League play-offs have agreed terms to remain at the club including captain James Neild, experienced midfielder Dean Furman and goalkeeper Luke Pilling.

Clive Smith, Ben Hardcastle, James Butler, Sam Burns and Ben Hough will also be staying while Javid Swaby-Neavin, James Baillie and Matt Regan have been invited to return for pre-season training.

The club also confirmed there would be five trialists training with them in pre-season as well as several prospects from their youth system.

One young star who will not have to earn his deal, however, is Ben Taylor, who has become the first player from the club’s youth system to earn a permanent contract.

Joining Duffy’s coaching staff as assistant manager will be Phil Jevons, who has held several coaching positions at higher-ranking clubs including Sunderland, Rochdale and Fleetwood Town following a prolific playing career as a striker for the likes of Grimsby, Yeovil, Bristol City and Morecambe.

The club have also confirmed the appointment of Dean Baker as their new goalkeeping coach.
