TWO brothers from Warrington have swept all before them at an international Thai boxing tournament.

Longford’s Connor and Lewis Shaw came home from Italy having won world and European titles at the WTKA World Unified Championships, with both siblings winning all of their fights and scooping seven gold medals between them.

Younger brother Connor, 13, won all five of the fights he had at the tournament in Carrara, outclassing opponents from France, Moldova and Italy.

Fourteen-year-old Lewis had two fights against Italian opponents and produced dominant displays in both, winning every round of both fights.

The brothers’ success will come as no surprise to everyone at Warrington Thai Boxing – the Evans House-based club where they have been training since they were four and five years old while building a growing reputation on the local Muay Thai scene.

They formed part of an excellent Team Great Britain effort, with fighters bringing home an incredible 25 gold medals from 27 fights.

Lewis and Connor, who attend Beamont Collegiate Academy, have their own joint Instagram account where they share all their progress and clips from fights and training – search for @shawbrothersmuaythai to follow their exploits.
