The 10-year-old Broomfield's Junior School student is now looking forward to meeting the drivers in the press room and learning which driver he will be standing with on the grid for the national anthem.

There will also be a paddock and pit tour to savour.

Following the anthem, Luca and the 19 other lucky youngsters will get to watch the race in the main grandstand.

For Luca, it is a great reward for all the hard work he puts in to his karting.

He is in his sixth full season of karting and competes in the WERA Tools British Championships intermediate class which is for 10 to 13-year-old drivers.

The races are all live-streamed on YouTube as are interviews with the drivers and teams.

He has been lucky enough to get support from a couple of Warrington businesses such as The Staffing Experts and Real5 Networking and this helps a huge amount as the races are all over the UK.

In 2022 he became the North West Champion MSUK in the cadet class.

He is part of the double Junior World Championship winning Team Croc Promotions and has engines provided by Velocity race engines.

Luca was the winner of the first Superone Bambino (age 6-8) race in 2020 – the same championship that Lewis Hamilton and others raced in when they were cadet drivers.
