JOHN Stubbs endured a difficult start to his fourth Paralympic Games.
The Woolston archer, who at 56 is the oldest member of the Great Britain team, could only managed a 19th-place finish in the ranking round of the men's individual open compound event.
Having carried the Union Jack at the opening ceremony earlier this week alongside swimmer Ellie Simmonds, Stubbs shot a score of 692.
He will now face Slovakia's Marian Marecak in the last 32 tomorrow.
