WARRINGTON Kickboxing Studio are celebrating their first championship belts in more than three years after cleaning up at an amateur championships at Lowton Leisure Centre.

Six of the club’s fighters were crowned champions, with Katie Hawkins, Phil Dale, Ben O’Brien and Paul Duckworth capturing the English Amateur Championships titles at lightweight, welterweight, super welterweight and super cruiserweight respectively.

Black belts Andy Harris and John Emanu captured the British super welterweight and British heavyweight amateur titles to round off a successful weekend for the club, which brought their first belts since September 2007.

The next Warrington kickboxer to step into the ring will be second dan Paige Farrington, competing under professional rules for the fourth time in Doncaster on November 27.
