PAUL Wood has been rewarded for his loyalty to Wolves after being granted a testimonial for 2010.

Next season will be Wood's 11th at the club since graduating from the club's academy system at the turn of the decade.

The 27-year-old prop forward, who has missed just one game so far this season after overcoming injury problems, recently signed a one-year deal that will keep him at the club until the end of next season.

A former England international, Wood made his debut for the club as a replacement in the 26-18 Super League win at Wakefield on September 10, 2000, while still only 18.

He went on to feature in Wolves' final game of the 2000 season a week later, a 38-10 home win against Salford, before breaking into the first team the following campaign.

Since then, the former Ince St Williams amateur has become a key figure for the club and made his 200th first-grade appearance in the 18-16 win at Hull FC last month.

“I’m really happy that it’s all been sorted now,” said Wood.

“I must admit, over the last 10 years, I've been through a lot at Warrington and hopefully it will be a cracking year.”

Wood is currently on the lookout for businesses to sponsor testimonial events and advertise in the brochure that will accompany the year.
