I PLAY crown green bowls regularly throughout the year on most of the greens in Warrington.

The conditions of the greens vary considerably as the weather does have adverse effects at times.

However, I would like to express my thanks to the groundsmen who care for the park greens in the town. The quality of the care they give is second to none.

I am sure they receive thanks from individual players, but I feel strongly that the work they put in ought to be acknowledged and appreciated by us all.
