GARY Chambers says there will be doubts over two of his forwards for Warrington Wolves’ game against St Helens on Friday night.

Joe Philbin was absent for Sunday’s golden-point defeat against Salford Red Devils after limping out of Saturday’s final training session with a hamstring complaint.

Then, Sam Kasiano was unable to come back on after the break having been taken ill in the changing rooms.

With a short, five-day turnaround until the crucial clash with their neighbours, Chambers says both will be monitored throughout the week.

“It was a late decision on Joe,” he said.

“He’s carrying a hamstring injury – he wouldn’t have got through it. We’ll have to see how he is over the next few days.

“Sam Kasiano couldn’t go back on as he was ill at half time, so we’ll have to look after him.

“There’s a couple of bumps and bruises in there – we’ve had a couple of head knocks that they were able to go back out from but we’ll have to see how they’re feeling.”

Winger Matty Ashton and forward Jordy Crowther both spent time off the field during the first half undergoing head injury assessments, but both passed and were able to rejoin the action.
