THE preparations for the new campaign are continuing for Warrington Town and Warrington Rylands, with both having played pre-season friendlies in midweek.
On Tuesday night, Town were beaten 2-1 away at FC United of Manchester as they succumbed to a late Matt Van Wyk winner.
Mark Beesley's men had fallen behind early thanks to Elliot Morris' strike, but Bohan Dixon scrambled home a corner to equalise before the break.
Yellows have no game this weekend, with their next friendly being a trip to Nantwich Town on Tuesday, July 25.
Rylands had a much better time of things on Monday night as they thrashed Stockport Town 5-0.
Having taken a two-goal lead into the break, Michael Clegg's side found another gear late on to run out comfortable winners.
Blues have three away friendlies in the coming days - they travel to Lower Breck on Thursday, Witton Albion on Saturday and Wythenshawe Town on Tuesday.
