WARRINGTON Town moved to the brink of promotion to the National League North with a stunning play-off semi-final victory on Tuesday night.
A dazzling display allowed them to thrash Matlock Town in front of a raucous crowd of just under 2,000 at Cantilever Park.
They will now face Bamber Bridge, who beat Gainsborough Trinity on penalties in the other semi-final, at Cantilever Park for a place in the National League North on Bank Holiday Monday, kick off 3pm.
All four of Yellows' goals came in a brutal display before half time, with Luke Duffy striking twice and also setting up Bohan Dixon.
Duffy first buried the rebound after Josh Amis saw his shot saved before rounding Matlock keeper Saul Deeney and tapping into the empty net either side of pulling back for Dixon to tap home from close range.
Connor Woods added a cool fourth for a dominant Yellows side, who will contest the play-off final for the third completed season in a row.
Bradley Abbott scored a stunning late consolation for the visitors as he beat Tony Thomspon with a 25-yard volley, but Town can reflect on a staggering night's work.
