WARRINGTON Town will head into the new league season on a sequence of being unbeaten in six friendly matches.
They secured a 3-1 win at Bootle on Saturday, with substitute forward Josh Amis netting twice.
Town's goals all came in a 15-minute spell in the second half, with Amis grabbing his first in the 58th minute.
He was smart in reacting to a chargedown that came his way after Isaac Buckley-Ricketts partially blocked the attempted clearance by home keeper Sam Ashton.
Evan Gumbs made it 2-0 five minutes later when he got a nudge on Sean Williams’ free-kick to leave Ashton helpless.
Some fine approach work by Stefan Mols paved the way for Amis to lob Ashton for the third goal.
Bootle bagged a consolation effort when Ben Hodkinson fired low to get the ball past Yellows keeper Tony Thompson.
Town will host Morpeth Town in their Northern Premier League opener on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
