ALL 11 of Wolves' under 16s squad have signed deals to join the club's Junior Academy set-up.

Jordan Burke, Joe Clarke, Josh Crowley, James Mendeika, James Laithwaite, Greg Hamilton, Gareth O'Brien, Mike Reid, Anthony Whelan and Liam Hulme will all make the step up to the under 18s squad after being offered part-time contracts with the club.

It is believed to be the first time that Wolves or any other Super League club have signed their entire under 16s squad.

The 11 players are expected to be introduced to the Halliwell Jones crowd when Wolves' first team take on Catalans Dragons on March 2.

They will then be bidding to force their way into the under 18s team - coached by Gary Chambers with assistance from Mike McLoughlin, Ben Povey and Chris Rudd - for their first game of the season against Salford at Wilderspool on April 5.

Clarke, who is the grandson of former Rochdale player Peter Clarke, and Hamilton were two of the youngsters to benefit from some specialist coaching from Andrew Johns during his visit to England last year.

Ten of the signings are from Warrington with the other - Widnes-based Liam Hulme - being the son of ex-Wolves skipper Paul Hulme.

Both Hulme and Burke have represented England at under 15s level.
