THE return of Super League sees the return of our resident tipsters…

After a break to recharge the batteries, ‘Mr Predictor’ is back to run the rule over the latest round of fixtures.

Here’s how he sees Round 14 going…

CATALANS DRAGONS VS HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS

Poor old Huddersfield – for my money, they should have had the Challenge Cup in their possession after Saturday’s thrilling final.

Alas, that’s the game we play and they left London broken and empty-handed.

Cup finals are always bruisers and in the list of games you don’t want immediately after, a trip to Perpignan to face a fit and firing Catalans side is pretty much at the top.

As such, I think the Dragons will take this one pretty comfortably.

Prediction: Catalans by 16

WARRINGTON WOLVES VS LEEDS RHINOS

Who would have called these two having only nine wins between them at the halfway mark?

Certainly not me and this will be a good test as to who has made the most progress.

I still think Leeds are finding their feet under Rohan Smith as the new head coach tinkers to discover his best side.

For Wire, you get the sense of a line being drawn under what has gone before and if they show a similar kind of performance to the one they put in against Saints last time out, I think they’ll win here

Prediction: Warrington by 12

CASTLEFORD TIGERS VS WIGAN WARRIORS

I wonder how the Wigan party has been this week?

No doubt the players will have rightly celebrated winning the Challenge Cup, and games immediately after the final can produce blow-out scores.

I can’t see that happening, but I think the Warriors might have to swallow a loss here against a Castleford side that are very up-and-down.

Prediction: Castleford by 10

TOULOUSE OLYMPIQUE VS ST HELENS

Let’s have it right – if St Helens turn up at their best, this should be a comfortable win for them.

And with a few players looking like coming back into contention, they should look like a bit more of a cohesive unit over in France.

However, I was really impressed with Toulouse against Huddersfield last time out and I think they will have a say.

Nevertheless, Saints win for me.

Prediction: St Helens by 16

HULL KR VS SALFORD RED DEVILS

Tricky one this – on form, Hull KR can blow the top sides away but it has been a while since they showed that.

They are struggling for points and rhythm while by contrast, Salford are looking like worries about relegation are far away.

I’m backing the Red Devils to record a third win in a row here.

Prediction: Salford by 6

WAKEFIELD TRINITY VS HULL FC

Wakefield are having a real time of it.

Six defeats in a row and it’s fair to see pretty much all of the neutrals are praying this continues enough for Toulouse to overhaul them and stay up at their expense.

Hull are imperious at home but have struggled on the road, not winning away from the MKM Stadium since early March.

With Trinity in the form their in, however, I think they’ll buck that trend here.

Prediction: Hull FC by 18
