DARYL Powell has some tough decisions to make ahead of Warrington Wolves' trip to Catalans Dragons tomorrow.

Does he give youth another chance, or does he shore up his side with more experience?

Sports reporter Matt Turner talks us through his predicted Wire team here...

THERE were two key selection decisions to be made by Daryl Powell ahead of this game.

One appears to have been taken care of, with Gareth Widdop missing from the 21-man squad Warrington Wolves revealed yesterday.

However, Stefan Ratchford is back after a quad injury and if he is to come back into the side, it will likely be at the expense of one of The Wire’s promising youngsters.

Josh Thewlis has been largely excellent at full-back of late and while Riley Dean found the going a little tougher in the halves against Wigan last time out, he sparkled against Huddersfield when called upon.

I wonder then if Powell will be tempted to bring Ratchford into the halves alongside George Williams for this incredibly difficult assignment in Perpignan.

Defensively, the left edge was badly exposed against the Warriors and Catalans will no doubt have spotted that, so a more experienced presence may help stiffen up that side of the field.

That is the route I feel Powell may go down, but I would also not be surprised to see the team go unchanged with both Thewlis and Dean retaining their spots.

On the bench, I’ve a hunch Matt Davis may be brought in to add a little more energy in what looks set to be sweltering mid-spring conditions in the south of France.

Predicted Warrington Wolves team to face Catalans Dragons
