IT may come as a surprise to Warrington Wolves supporters that only one player has started every game of the season so far.

That man is centre Peter Mata’utia, who has started all 11 of The Wire’s Super League games plus their sole Challenge Cup outing against Wakefield Trinity.

All but one of those starts have come in the centres, with the other coming in the halves against Huddersfield Giants.

Joe Philbin and Danny Walker are the only other players to appear in every game so far this season, with the majority of both players’ appearances coming from the bench.

Three other players – Toby King, Mike Cooper and Robbie Mulhern – have missed just one match.

In terms of tries, wingers Josh Charnley and Matty Ashton top the club charts with eight each, with King just one behind.

Josh Thewlis has six while Mata’utia, George Williams and Connor Wrench have three each. In all, Wire’s 47 tries in all competitions this season have been split between 14 players.

Stefan Ratchford leads in goal-kicking having landed 24 successful kicks before dropping out of the side through injury.

Gareth Widdop has kicked six and Riley Dean five while Mata’utia and Thewlis both kicked one each during the defeat to Wigan last time out.
