WITH no games for the first or third teams, Lymm RFC’s seconds flew the club flag on Saturday.
Unfortunately, however, they could not make the most of centre stage as they were beaten 21-12 by their Sedgeley Park counterparts.
All of their points were conceded during a nightmare opening quarter, with the home side running in three tries to take command.
Lymm started to fight back before the break, however, and after Rory Riddell was held just short, Dalton Frith switched play for Ed Dobbs to crash over in the corner.
Then, after a penalty was kicked into the corner, Lymm’s forwards drove over the line for Rob Makin to score, with James Anderson converting.
Defences were on top in the second half, with no further points scored as the hosts saw out victory.
The first team are back in action on Saturday with a trip to the north east to face Billingham while the third team are away at Birkenhead Park.
