LAST night was a very special one for Josh Charnley.

He reached one milestone by just taking to the field, reached another while on it and moved to within touching distance of another special marker.

The winger was making his 100th appearance for Warrington Wolves since joining the club from rugby union side Sale Sharks in March 2018 during the clash with Castleford Tigers.

And he celebrated in fine style with two tries in The Wire's 34-10 victory, the first of which was his 250th career try.

As well as his 65 Wire tries, Charnley has also scored 164 for Wigan, 10 for England, two for England Knights and five for both Hull Kingston Rovers and Blackpool Panthers.

Charnley also moved to within touching distance of being only the third player ever to score 200 Super League tries.

Following last night's game, he is on 199 touchdowns – joint-third in the all-time competition list alongside Keith Senior and Paul Wellens.

His next Super League try will see him join record holder Danny Maguire (247) and Ryan Hall (212) in the elite club.
