THERE will be changes to the Warrington Town team for tonight's Cheshire Senior Cup clash with Hyde United.

However, manager Mark Beesley insists that does not mean Yellows are taking the tie lightly.

Having received a bye through the first round, Town take on their fellow Northern Premier League Premier Division side at Cantilever Park for a spot in the competition's third round.

With a critical month of league fixtures ahead, Beesley will take the chance to rotate his squad, with the likes of Ben Hough, Stefan Mols and Luke Duffy all expected to feature.

The game also represents a chance for several players from the Robbie Fowler Academy – with whom Yellows have an official partnership – to play for the first team.

After back-to-back league victories over the festive period, however, Beesley sees the game as a chance to keep momentum rolling.

"Two or three lads from FEFA will play. There’s lads in our squad that need a rest but there’s also a few who need minutes," he said.

"We’ll use the game for that but having won two in a row, we’re keen to play again and keep going.

"There’s no taking it lightly for me – we want to win games. Winning games brings confidence and also competition for places."

Kick off at Cantilever Park is at 7.45pm.
