AN irrepressible second half display earned Lymm RFC an impressive win over Wirral on Saturday.
Scrum-half Gregor Watson ran in a hat-trick of tries after the break as Adam Fletcher’s men emerged 46-10 victors at Beechwood.
That formed part of 38 Lymm points scored without reply after the hosts had trailed 10-8 just after the interval, with Tom Bray and Paddy Jennings also crossing for tries.
Scott Redfern also added five conversions and two penalties as Lymm overcame a tricky first period against determined opposition.
Their only try of the first half came through Sam Wadsworth while Fletcher’s men also spent a period with 14 men following a yellow card for James Sherlock.
Lymm’s next game sees them travel to Alnwick on Saturday.
