ARRAN McCabe stole the show as he claimed a stunning hat-trick in a dominant victory for Grappenhall Cricket Club's first team.

He had Davenham's Christian Kouris caught behind before clean bowling Tyron Crawford and pinning Mark Greaves leg before wicket to seal a remarkable treble.

Sam Guest also took three wickets to dismiss their visitors for just 116 in response to their imposing total of 316-3, wrapping up a 200-run hammering at Broad Lane.

With the bat, all of the top order made contributions to dominate the Davenham bowlers, with Pete Barnes finding form but falling just short of a century.

The seconds were also dominant on the road against their Davenham counterparts, winning by 101 runs.

Grappers declared on 284-5 and the visitors could only reach 183 in response before being bowled out.

The thirds moved to the brink of the T20 quarter finals by beating Brooklands by eight wickets, chasing down a victory target of 136 thanks in no small part to Alex Perry's knock of 54 from just 31 balls.
