ANGLERS have been sending their pictures all year from lockdown fishing sessions across the area.
Here's some of the highlights in words and pictures.
Tom O'Connell achieved an amazing coincidence in November when on two separate night sessions he landed eight carp at Appleton Reservoir in Warrington - that is some achievement at that time of the year. Here's a few pictures from those sessions.
Gerard Unsworth took his five-year-old son fishing for the first time at the beginning of November and enjoyed a fruitful day.
"We decided to head up the River Mersey leaving from Spikey Island canal and lock system. These are just some of our catches," he said.
"First fish he’s ever caught and what a fish it was!" said Gerard.
"Small dog fish he thought was a snake haha," said Gerard.
"Small whiting, that proud face is what it’s all about," said Gerard.
Meanwhile, Martyn Fairbrother revealed this as as his first fish of November's lockdown after 'blanking' on his previous four outings - a humongous 50lb 8oz mirror carp.
More readers' contributions.
Among them are some of George Roby with his carp catches from Appleton Reservoir.
George is a young professional rugby league player who had been on the books of Warrington Wolves and has represented his country at Academy level, though he has since signed for Huddersfield Giants.
Academy and Reserve level rugby league both got cancelled after the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in March.
He said: "After not being able to play rugby for months I turned a bit of my attention into fishing and had a few banging fish out of Wally Rez."
Fir Tree Flash in Wigan and White Door Dam in Golborne are a couple of other venues local anglers have been venturing to.
And here's many more of the fantastic catch pictures readers have sent us this year after their sessions across Cheshire.
