GREENALLS PSO made it two wins from two in the Cheshire Football League Premier Division on Saturday.

Ben McWilliams’ brace helped them to a 4-1 win at Poynton, with Callum Burgess also on the scoresheet while they also benefitted from an own goal.

Daten were also victorious, bouncing back from their opening-day loss to Congleton Town reserves with a 2-1 home win over Middlewich Town, with Joe Barker scoring twice for the Atoms at Charnock Road.

In League One, Moore United were beaten 2-0 at Winnington Ave 94 while Orford were on the wrong end of a 4-3 scoreline against St Helens Town reserves.

Reserves League One saw Eagle Sports beat Poynton 2-0, with James Maher and James Waldron scoring, while Daten lost by the same scoreline at Middlewich Town.

Ste Dowsett, Jamie Gallop, Dylan Woodroffe and Elliot Newsholme were on target in a 4-1 win for Greenalls PSO at Broadheath Central A in Reserves League Two while there were defeats for Daten Development and Moore United in the same division.

The Warrington and District Football League finally kicked off with action in the top two divisions.

There were away wins for The Village and St Michael’s in the Premier Division while Avon Villa thrashed Woolston Rovers 8-2.

Hatton and Penlake edged to home wins over Sidac and New Street respectively while Haydock and Sankey Vale played out a 2-2 draw.

In the First Division, Halebank ran out 6-0 winners over Blackbrook while Shevington Park and Runcorn Albion both recorded home wins.

Eagle JFC and Halton Castle played out the only goalless draw of the weekend while four goals were shared between Halfway Rangers and Bruche Athletic.

The remaining three divisions get their seasons underway on Saturday.
