PHIL Archer continued his assault on the Manchester and District Golf Alliance Order of Merit title – with a little help from his mum!
The Poulton Park professional partnered mother Jean, who plays at Birchwood Golf Club, to top spot in the pro-am section of the Hancock Trophy at Sale Golf Club.
Their fine haul of 44 points saw them finish two clear of nearest rivals Gary Brown and Kim Townscliffe.
It was double delight for Archer, whose 40-point haul saw him finish top of the individual pro standings – three clear of Knutsford’s Tim Maxwell.
