MIKE Cooper and Ben Murdoch-Masila will be given as long as possible to prove their fitness for Sunday's trip to Castleford Tigers.

Having originally been named in the starting team, Cooper withdrew from Friday's defeat to Salford Red Devils with a back injury he picked up on the morning of the game.

Murdoch-Masila, meanwhile, has missed the past three games after having minor ankle surgery.

Price is hopeful of having both players back but is prepared to wait.

"Coops is coming along pretty good. We’ll give him every chance to be available for the weekend," he said.

"He’s still got a couple more boxes to tick but he’s in a lot better position now.

"Ben Murdoch-Masila has been running but he’s another one we’ll have to make a decision on later in the week."

Chris Hill is available again after suspension but The Wire will be without Sitaleki Akauola after he was hit with a two-match ban of his own.

Price confirmed there were no new injuries within the squad and also provided a brief response to talk long-term injury absentees Kevin Brown and Stefan Ratchford may be fit to return for next week's Challenge Cup semi-final.

"Kevin Brown and Stefan Ratchford are still a bit off. They’re both still doing their rehab and they haven’t rejoined the main group yet. In terms of the semi-final, I can’t really answer that as they haven’t trained with us," he added.
